Update Overview

Octoplus Samsung Tool v5.1.2 was released on 19 June 2026 with new operations for selected Samsung Exynos devices, updated Qualcomm EDL loaders and important changes to the Unlock MDM workflow.

The main highlight of this release is support for Reset FRP and Enable ADB from Download Mode on supported Exynos processors. This gives technicians more service options for compatible Samsung devices without using normal Android access.

Use these functions only on devices you own or are authorized to service.

New Exynos Operations

Octoplus Samsung Tool v5.1.2 adds two new Download Mode operations for selected Exynos-based Samsung devices:

Reset FRP (Download Mode)
Enable ADB (Download Mode)

These operations are designed for professional Samsung service workflows and may depend on device model, firmware version, security patch and processor support.

Important Notes About Exynos Support

Processors marked as test mode are added for early support and may not behave the same on every model or firmware version.

Not all firmware versions may be supported. In some cases, the device firmware may need to be upgraded or downgraded before the operation can be completed.

Some older devices may bootloop during or after the operation. For supported recovery cases, Octoplus provides a device recovery option in the Repair tab using the Restore Device (Download Mode) operation.

Unlock MDM Operation Changes

This update also changes the Unlock MDM (Completed) operation behavior.

Due to changes on the official Samsung server, devices with Knox Guard versions higher than 2 are no longer supported by the Unlock MDM (Completed) operation. For these devices, the software may prompt users to use the Bypass MDM (Mar. 2026) operation instead.

This is an important change for technicians working with Samsung MDM and Knox Guard service cases.

Updated Qualcomm EDL Loaders

Octoplus Samsung Tool v5.1.2 also updates loaders for many Samsung devices based on Qualcomm CPU via EDL Mode.
